You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish

There are still fish left in the Mediterranean Sea.

While crossing between the Stamfani islands and Methoni on the Peloponnese one of the reels on the 2 rods we had rigged started screaming as the line quickly fed off it.

We stopped Lady Roslyn and then carefully motored to keep the line behind the boat. Harald, a good friend who was sailing with us for 2 weeks, reeled the fish to the surface. As it was brought closer to the stern, everyone was very excited to see it was a tuna and to watch it flashing blue and silver below the surface.

We got the gaff ready and then had a crew discussion on whether to land and eat it or let it go.

As it was the first fish we have ever caught on Lady Roslyn (and because we had lots of food on board), we unanimously decided to release this beautiful creature back to Neptune.

We are glad we did.
