Photo of the Day #9

June 25, 2017

From tranquility to relative chaos. Maslinica, Solta. "Lady Roslyn" is anchored with 2 stern lines ashore - 3rd boat from the right in the image below. As we were preparing to drop anchor and reverse into our spot, the monohull 6th from the right in this picture cut across our bows, turned hard to port and started to drop his anchor. We were not going to be bullied and as options were few, slowly bore down on him with fenders prepared. He eventually got the message and moved. At midnight, a thunderstorm with strong side-on North Westerly breeze blew in and as the distance between ourselves and the monohulls on either side of us was closing, we upped anchor and motored to anchor between the small islands just off Maslinica.
