The wind direction was perfect for a fantastic few hours of downwind sailing, using our Wingaker parasail, across the Gulf of Laconia from Porto Kayio to Elafonisos.
Upon arrival, we anchored in the larger of the two sandy bays, Ormos Sarakiniko, and relaxed there for 2 days, swimming in the aquamarine blue water and enjoying drinks and a surprisingly excellent meal at the beach restaurant behind the dunes.
All-in-all a very worthwhile stop before rounding Cape Malea, the last of the 3 Peloponnese Capes, and heading northwards for the first time in 49 days since leaving Muggia in Northern Italy.
